I am a senior undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin pursing a BS in civil engineering. I'm currently an undergraduate researcher in the computational mechanics of soft materials lab in UT's CAEE department. I have an interest in the practical applications of structural analysis, computational mechanics, and software/programming. In my freetime I enjoy playing volleyball, tennis, and cooking. Here you will find a collection of my most recent projects and courses that have been completed or are in progress.

Structural Engineering Internship - Jacobs

summer 2024

- Created finite element models of pipe hangars in different orientations using STAAD pro along with verifying stress and displacement results, minimizing local stresses by up to 60%- Developed and verified 22 unique loading scenarios for Ever A Lot and Maersk S Class ships from dynamic mooring analysis data for use in expansion plans for the Port of Houston with Excel- Performed hand calculations to determine maximum allowable axial, shear, and moment forces for bolts, tie rods, and steel angles using Mathcad- Calculated material takeoffs and quantities for Port of Houston wharf rehabilitation project using Bluebeam

Truss design internship- Trussmate,inc

summer 2023

- Reviewed architectural and structural drawings for commercial and residential buildings to draft and dimension walls, roofs, plumbing, and HVAC in Alpine ITW- Designed floor and roof truss systems in accordance with IBC, IRC, and structural plans for use in bidding and production- Adjusted manufactured truss designs to accomodate HVAC / Mechanical plans and architectural features- Ran structural analysis software on trusses to ensure trusses met performance expectations set by IBC, IRC, and structural engineer

Student Librarian - UT AUstin Classics Library

summer 2022 - spring 2023

- Independently prepared the Classics Library for opening and closing, by checking in morning book shipments, resetting foot traffic data, and clearing the book drop off- Stored and organized checked in books along with cataloging approximately 50-100 existing books in the library’s selection daily- Assisted patrons with finding where books were located, in addition to giving access to restricted resources- Scanned and edited requested academic journals weekly to be emailed to UT Classics professors
